Community Engagement & Development Coordinator


Drama Victoria is the peak body for Drama and Theatre Education in Victoria and is a not-for-profit organisation. Established in 1968, Drama Victoria is the oldest Drama teacher association in Australia

We are seeking an experienced Community Engagement & Development Coordinator (CEDC) who will work closely with the Executive Officer to nurture established Drama Victoria partners and identify new ones. The role is responsible for seeking new opportunities for both friend and fund raising. This includes:

  • developing and delivering a community engagement and development program to raise awareness of Drama Victoria services,
  • build capacity, support, maintain and grow Drama Victoria’s member base, and
  • secure financial and in-kind support from philanthropic trusts, donors, corporate partners, other sponsors and supporters.

The CEDC will also actively monitor and utilise Drama Victoria’s social media for community engagement initiatives and driving support.

The position will also play a key role in coordinating the delivery of a significant project for Drama Victoria. Project management skills are essential.

This new position will have a critical function in the organisation as it operationalises its strategic plan. Reports to: Executive Officer

Working Conditions:

  • The position is the equivalent of an average 16 hours per week (0.4 EFT) over 45 weeks per annum (leave during school holidays).  8hrs/week on average will be spent coordinating a major project during 2021-2023.
  • The role is to be worked from home.  Flexible hours.  Flexible working conditions.
  • Out of hours or weekend work may be required from time to time. 

Conditions of Employment:  Independent contractor agreement.  ABN required. 

Remuneration:  $45/hour plus 9.5% superannuation
